Garlic Tea

Feeling under the weather? No worries – garlic tea to the rescue! Sounds atrocious, huh? I know, I know – but hear me out. It’s tastes a-ok – and more importantly – it works to cure your ailments! Garlic is well-known for its numerous health benefits – from its antibacterial and anti fungal properties to its ability to treat high cholesterol, heart disease, and high blood pressure. Why wouldn’t you use it in a tea?! Let’s get right to the nitty gritty.

2-3 large cloves garlic, crushed (let sit for 5-10 to let the allicin develop)
1 cup water
juice of 1/2 small lemon
1 tsp raw honey

Bring water to a boil. Remove water from stovetop, add crushed garlic and steep for 5-10 minutes. Strain the garlic and stir in juice of lemon and honey to taste. Drink up. Live well.
