Lovely Sophie, the co-founder of La Coéss, reached out to me via Instagram and very kindly sent me her gorgeous product a few weeks ago. The brand’s story is captivating, to say the least. According to their website, the founders embarked on an “8 years and 3 months long quest testing 312 different ingredients around the world, with sincere tests through 783 formulations” to find the perfect product.
With meticulous attention paid to both packaging and ingredients, La Coéss Revitalisé is stunning in every sense of the word. A mix of 15 potent botanicals, this oil adds a little bit of luxury into your daily routine. La Coéss is also USDA, OTCO organic certified, vegan, and cruelty-free certified.
Performance: I’m really satisfied with the performance of this product. The oil’s viscosity is on the thinner side and sinks quickly into the skin. I only need two drops to moisturize my face; any more than that is too much for my combination skin. I’ve only been using it at night and have been pleasantly surprised to wake up to plump skin. I’ve read some reviews that state this oil works well on dark circles, so I’m curious to see if that will be true for me. I’ll keep you updated!
Scent Profile: Notes of rosemary and jasmine are most prominent to my nose. While not apparent during initial application, lavender is more prominent as the oil sinks into the skin. I’ll be honest, it took a little while for this aroma to grow on me, but I now find it to be very earthy and soothing.
Packaging: Simply put, this packing is stunning. Absolutely stunning. The frosted glass bottle is designed and crafted in Italy. The dropper, inspired by premier musical instruments, is made of Wengè Wood to make our La Coéss Face Oil’s dropper. I haven’t been this besotted with a brand’s packaging for as long as I can remember. Given that piece of information, I was disappointed to learn that Wenge wood is considered an endangered exotic wood. I’m curious to find out why a brand committed to sustainability would choose to use an endangered resource. I’d be very open to chatting with Sophie to find out more. With that said, I plan on reusing this bottle once I’ve finished the product.

Overall, I’m really pleased with this lovely facial oil! Its performance and ingredients are top-notch. It doesn’t make the cut for essential oil-free, if that is one of your qualifiers for skincare (or if you have a sensitivity to essential oils); it is, however, made of beautifully potent ingredients that are USDA, OTCO organic certified, vegan, and cruelty-free certified. While it’s priced as a luxury product, I’m inclined to say that I would purchase it as an extra special treat for myself. And last, but not least, I’m always a proponent of supporting women-owned small businesses, and this fits the bill! Have you tried this brand? What are your thoughts?
