Review: Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Line

I’ve been using Andalou Naturals for a few years now, so when I was contacted by them to try products in their 1000 Roses line, I was just beside myself! While I had tried other lines by Andalou Naturals, 1000 Roses was new to me. I’m very excited to share my thoughts about these products, because let me tell you, they’re pretty amazing.

The 1000 Roses line is for sensitive/dry skin, so I was a little hesitant to give it a go, since I have sensitive combination/oily skin. BUT, these products are ultra soothing on my hypersensitive skin. And unlike other rose-scented products I’ve tried (and disliked), this line’s scent isn’t cloying or artificial; it’s just light, sweet, and fresh.

Did you know that Andalou is the first – and only – brand to achieve 100% Non-GMO Project Verification? Not only are they committed to creating effective products but healthy ones too! In addition to that, Andalou Naturals has a heap of other admirable certifications including:

  • certified organic
  • vegetarian + vegan
  • gluten free
  • cruelty free
  • natural origin
  • non-comedogenic
  • bioactive
  • fair-trade
  • eco-friendly

If you want to make conscious consumption choices with your wallet, Andalou Naturals should definitely be on your list of companies to explore. As with all products, please patch test first to ensure you don’t have an allergy! Here are the deets:

Andalou Naturals day cream jar on a bed of roses

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream

This day cream is light and lovely. It sinks into my skin very fast and leaves a light scent. There’s no greasy feel and it wears wonderfully under mineral makeup. I only wish it had SPF in it; then it would be perfect!! With that said, I do mix in some of my SPF with this lotion when I’m out and about, but use the day cream just by itself for those lazy days inside.

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Heavenly Night Cream

Ok, this night cream is bomb.com. I love to slather on a super thick, nourishing cream on my face at night, and this hits the spot. Is it greasy, you ask? NOPE! I’m very surprised at how my combination skin drinks this up. I sometimes mix a few drops of the Moroccan Beauty Oil with this product during those extra dry fall and winter months. Also, once I hit 30, I’ve felt that my face has been losing a bit of moisture; that includes the  introduction of some fine lines and wrinkles around my mouth and on my forehead. This cream has really helped fill in some of those problem areas. A+!

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Moroccan Beauty Oil

This oil is so light and lovely and helps balance my skin when I have breakouts. I will say that the scent of this oil is pretty strong. If you’re sensitive to scent, it might be a tad overwhelming at first. The smell, however, does dissipate after a few minutes. I typically only use this at night, since my skin is already on the oily side. I use this alone and mixed with the serum. I even rub into my cuticles. Overall, it’s a great multi-purpose beauty oil.

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Eye Revive Contour Gel

I’m not quite sure what I think about this eye gel, as I’ve only been using it for a couple of weeks. I’m used to applying eye creams with my fingertips, so the rollerball was a change. It feels quite cooling and soothing, and I can’t say I have any irritation thus far. I haven’t seen a huge change in my dark circles, but we’ll see how it shakes out in the next few weeks!

*Update: I don’t like this gel at all. What was a “cooling” feeling turned into a “stinging” feeling under my eyes. I also haven’t seen much improvement of my dark circles. It’s moisturizing enough on my fine lines, but unfortunately, it’s not my favorite eye cream.

andalou naturals 1000 roses serum

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Absolute Serum, 1 Ounce

LOVE. Obsessed. This serum sinks beautifully into my skin and doesn’t leave any sort residue on my sheets. It also wears well under makeup. I use it day and night. I seriously can’t get enough of it. I sometimes mix a drop of the beauty oil with the serum when my skin needs extra moisture.

andalou naturals 1000 roses rosewater mask

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Rosewater Mask

While moisture masks usually leave me unimpressed, as I have combination/oily skin, this one hits the spot. It’s nice and light (not gooey), and my skin drinks it up. As I mentioned above – now that I’m comfortably in my 30s (ahem) – I’m starting to see some fine lines and wrinkles pop up. Eek! This mask definitely helps with those pesky buggers. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize, right?

Andalou Naturals 1000 Roses Floral Toner

DELIGHTFUL. I spray this generously on my face day, night, whenever I want a pick-me-up. It smells similar to the rest of the products in the line and is a great skin prep for the rest of your skincare. It’s probably one of my favorites in the line, along with the serum!
