I think it was about a year or two ago that I noticed my beloved powder foundation settling into my lines and wrinkles. No matter what I did—exfoliate, moisturize, etc.,—it stubbornly found its way into every crevice on my face.
I quickly started my search for a more moisturizing liquid foundation but found that most liquids did not play nicely with my combo-oily complexion; they budged, they slid, and they separated.
I don’t know why it took me SO long to revisit setting my foundation with powder, but I’m thankful that I finally did. I purchased the travel size of the Vapour Ethereal Perfecting Loose Powder, and to my surprise, I love it!
Vapour, according to their website, “embraces performance while honoring deep commitments to ingredient purity, transparency, health, and sustainability.” Their products are made with ethically sourced ingredients, and they’re cruelty-free: they’re Leaping Bunny certified and they choose not to sell their products in countries that require animal testing.
Vapour Perfecting Loose Powder
This powder blends seamlessly, and extends the life of my foundation for at least 4-5 hours. It’s lightly tinted but goes on “clear.” There’s no ashiness or ghostly cast. It’s light and airy—perfect.
There is no discernible scent.
The Vapour Perfecting Loose Powder comes in recyclable outer cardboard packaging and a plastic container. The plastic container that houses the powder has a flexible netting prevents large amounts of powder from spilling out. Vapour offers a rewards-based recycling program for their products.
Mica, Tapioca Starch*, Pentylene Glycol, Lauroyl Lysine, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Honokiol; May Contain +/-: CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499/Iron Oxides
All in all, I love Vapour’s Perfecting Loose Powder! I purchased the travel size, but I will be repurchasing the full-sized version when I run out. Do you have any favorite setting powders?
