Review: Auromere Tulsi Spice Shampoo Bar

Peeps – I think I’ve found my new favorite clarifying shampoo! This Ayurvedic shampoo bar from Auromere is fantastic for soooooo many reasons.

With wonderfully nourishing ingredients like coconut oil, sunflower oil, neem oil, and tulsi oil, it cleans your hair without stripping it. I also love the shampoo’s soothing herbal scent, which is both relaxing and delicate.

The bar is alkaline in pH, and I’ve read that lots of folks follow up their shampoo with an ACV (apple cider vinegar) rinse. I haven’t had to do that, as I have fairly thick and dry hair. I’d also like to note that I only wash my hair 1-2 times per week and use this bar infrequently (bi-weekly) and only when I’m jonesin’ for a clarifying shampoo. With that said, I’d say it’s definitely worth a shot if you’re curious about it.

I usually cut the bar up into small pieces, in an effort to prolong its life. I find that if I take the entire bar into the shower, I have the hardest time keeping it completely dry. Blerg. I use this same trick of cutting up my soap for my facial soap and body soap, too!

Oh btw – it’s sulfate-free, gluten-free, vegan, cruelty-free, non-GMO, earth-friendly, and comes in recyclable packaging! Green and zero-waste? Ooooh baby sign me up.
