Looking to support some amazing women-owned beauty brands? You’ve come to the right post! Given all that is going on in the world at the moment, women-owned and WOC-owned businesses need our support more than ever. I’m sharing a list of some of my favorite women-led businesses in the mindful beauty space.
Not only do I love the products below, but I also deeply admire the women behind these brands. All brands listed below (in alphabetical order) are:
- Cruelty-free
- Woman/women-owned (either wholly or partially)
- Committed to sustainability
- High-quality and high-performance

Ere Perez
Inspired by natural healing and beauty, Ere Perez is an Australian-owned company, whose motto is “natural makeup for clean, conscious living.” They make gorgeous makeup products, and my favorite item (and my favorite mascara) from this brand is their Avocado Waterproof Mascara.

ILIA Beauty
ILIA Beauty is known for its beautiful packaging and high-performance formulations. From their highlighter to their mascara to their eyeliner, it’s hard to pick a favorite. ILIA recently went through a gorgeous rebrand; check it out if you haven’t already. If that’s not enough to love, they also have a commitment to sustainability and offer a fantastic recycling program.

La Coéss
Sophie, the founder of La Coéss, embarked on an “8 years and 3 months long quest testing 312 different ingredients around the world, with sincere tests through 783 formulations” to find the perfect product. With meticulous attention paid to both packaging and ingredients, their hero product La Coéss Revitalisé is stunning in every sense of the word. If you’re looking for luxe, this is it!

Live Botanical
Carolyn McRory’s dedication to her craft, commitment to a more sustainable society, and passion for social justice issues make it a no-brainer for me to support her brand. Live Botanical’s Lavender and Cocoa Body Polish is decadent, to say the least. If you haven’t experienced Live Botanical yet, run, don’t walk (virtually, anyway) to their website!

Meow Meow Tweet
Founded by Tara Pelletier and her partner in 2009, Meow Meow Tweet makes amazing, affordable skincare. They are also committed to sustainability, like Ilia Beauty, Meow Meow Tweet also has a recycling program. Their refill program and compostable/recyclable packaging make them one of the most sustainable brands on the market today.

Odacité

Ranavat
Inspired by Ayurveda and Indian royalty, Ranavat is the definition eco luxe skincare. Founder Michelle Ranavat is not only a brilliant formulator, she’s also one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. I’ve recently fall in love with the brand’s newest product, the Luminous Ceremony Cream Cleanser but would wholeheartedly recommend the entire line! Get 10% off your first purchase of $50.

Rose and Water
A botanical-based apothecary that offers small-batch, handmade products, Rose and Water is a woman-owned, cruelty-free business based in San Francisco. Kristina Wang, the brand’s founder, built Rose and Water to be environmentally conscious and socially responsible. I’ve fallen in love with Kristina’s soaps, and can’t wait to try more from her line.

Sahajan Skincare
Sahajan, the Hindi word for intuitive, is based on 5,000-year-old Indian mind-body practice called Ayurveda. Taking the ancient practices of Ayurveda and making them accessible to the modern woman is what Lisa Mattam does best with her line. Her products are as effective as they are luxurious.

Wild Lather
This small, woman-owned business ticks all the boxes: plant-based, handmade, committed to sustainability, and bleeping adorable packaging. How could you possibly ask for anything more?
And there you have it: my roundup of 10 amazing women-owned beauty brands to support! Admittedly, this is, by no means, an exhaustive list. I’ve used—and continue to use—all of these brands; I’m happy to encourage you to do the same. Do you have any favorite women-owned beauty brands that aren’t on this list? Share below!
